Applications for our 2023 Market Entry Accelerator have now closed

…but that’s not the end of it! We’ll be back next year looking for scaling Australian fast-moving consumer goods (FMCGs) businesses that want expert advice and connections in order to enter the UK market, including an exclusive opportunity to pitch to a leading UK supermarket chain.

BUILD YOUR UK MARKET ENTRY STRATEGY

This Market Entry Accelerator consists of a 5-week market entry strategy program based in Australia and a 2-week in-market immersion program in London, UK. This program is funded by the Australian Government Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources through AusIndustry’s Incubator Support Initiative.

The 5-week Brisbane market entry strategy program will cover:

  • The landscape for FMCG businesses in the UK
  • Building a value proposition and brand to compete in the UK
  • Export market investment strategies
  • Strategic partnerships, channels and building your opportunity pipeline
  • An exclusive opportunity to virtually pitch to a leading UK Supermarket chain

The mid-program 2-week London immersion will consist of:

  • An on-the-ground market access program, including activities to support participant’s understanding of the funding landscape, legal and regulatory considerations (including GDPR, UK contract law and Brexit) and networking opportunities.
  • Meetings with key distributors, partners, customers and investors.
  • An opportunity to meet with the heads of several leading UK supermarket chains

THE SUPERMARKET PITCH

All participants will leave the program having had the opportunity to pitch to at least one major UK supermarket.

We will be connecting with multiple UK retailers to give participants the advantage of connecting with the partners that best suit their brand/product strategy.

During the London Immersion trip, participants will have the opportunity to visit retailers in person and better understand what they need to do to stand a chance of being stocked.

Once back in Australia and when a participants’ proposition/pitch is ready, we will facilitate a pitch to a major UK supermarket.

In 2019 we partnered with Sainsbury’s to hold a buyer pitch day with the retailer.
